Monthly TBRs

February 2019 TBR: Bookstagram Edition

Spread the love

*A new month means a new TBR and I’m very excited about my line up of books this month. So many of these were recommended to me on Bookstagram. I can’t wait to dig in. Grab some coffee or cocoa and add some new books to your TBRs.

Bookstagram recommended books to me. I'm taking the time to read them this month.

The books I’m most excited to read.

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I’m so excited to finally get my hands on a beautiful copy of this book from Illumicrate. I got special editions of Strange the Dreamer and Muse of Nightmares. They were so expensive but so worth it!

The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon

I can’t wait to get back into this series! The end of the first book was such a cliffhanger. I need to know what happens next and I also need to know if my “ship” is going to sail.

Inheritance by Christopher Paolini

In anticipation of The Fork, The Witch, and the Worm, I’ve been reading back through the Inheritance cycle and it has been so fun! There are so many things that I forgot about and man, the action is getting intense!

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

I received this book in my January Owlcrate box and I can’t wait to read it. It sounds fantastic and fun and just wonderful.

Books to get to if I have time.

These are the books I’ll read if I finish my most anticipated list first.

Sky in the Deep by Adrianne Young

I’ve known about this one for a while and I finally got my hands on a copy. I’m also reading this for the Modern Mrs. Darcy reading challenge prompt, “a book by a new author”.

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

I’m pretty excited to get to this one too, but it’s not at the top of my priority list. I do hope that this one has a little more action and maybe some more character development than the first book did.

A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica Cluess

I have not idea what this book is about, I just see it on bookstagram and booktube all the time. Not to mention every time I get on Book Outlet it’s staring me in the face. I’m hoping it will be a good read and I won’t have to dnf it.

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard

Again, I don’t know much about this book, but I see it everywhere so I’m giving it a shot.

Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa

This book sounds really interesting to me. I know barely anyhing about it other than there’s magic (?) involved. I got this one in an Owlcrate box last year and I really want to get to it before it becomes another book on my shelf collecting dust.

Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

Another book on my list that I don’t know anything about, but the cover looks sweet so I’m going to read it.

Have you read any of these books on my list? If you have did you like them? Love them?

I’m always looking for recommendations too! Let me know if you have read any books that are similar to these ones and I’ll check them out.

Happy Reading,

Alicen

P.S. I’m reading Strange the Dreamer and Think, Learn, Succeed for part of the TCS 2019 Reading Challenge. You can get all the info to participate here.
