    N.E.W.T.s 2019 Magical Readathon

*I am BEYOND EXCITED to participate in N.E.W.T.s Magical Readathon in August! I have been looking forward to it since, well, since April this year when I did the O.W.L.s readathon. I cannot wait to share my tbr with you for NEWTs. If you’re new to all this and I’m speaking a foreign language, don’t worry! I’ll make sure I link you up to all the info you need to participate in the post. Ok! Let’s get to it!

It's time for NEWTs 2019 readathon! Here's my tbr for the NEWTs readathon hosted by Book_Roast.

    The low down.

If you are completely new to the NEWTs readathon I need you to check out this video first! G or @book_roast is the original creator of this readathon. She is a genius and she blesses us with all of her extraness. We love her to pieces so please go check out her Youtube channel!

If you are not new to NEWTs or the Magical Readathon, welcome back! I’m so so excited for this readathon! I don’t know what it is about August but Fall is calling me and nothing sounds better than a month-long readathon. Of course, it’s Harry Potter themed so that makes it even more amazing!

    Magical career: Librarian

    NEWTs Reading Plan

Hopefully some of that made sense. If not really take a look at G’s videos on her Youtube channel! They are super helpful and you’ll really get the idea of what’s all involved with this readathon.

I plan to start the readathon with Days of Blood and Starlight. Hopefully, I’ll be able to complete all of my exams and be able to become a Librarian! I’m so excited for this readathon but I think I’ve mentioned this already. πŸ˜…

Well, that’s all I have for my NEWTs readathon tbr. I can’t wait for it to start! Only a few more hours and then it’s NEWTs time!

    Happy reading,

    O.W.L.s 2019 Magical Readathon

*I am very excited about O.W.L.s 2019! It’s readathon time again which means I will read lots of books. Or, at least I plan to. πŸ˜‚As always, I’ll link the books to Goodreads so that you can add the ones that interest you to your own TBR lists.

It's O.W.L.s 2019! If you've ever dreamed of having a wizarding career now is your chance! I'm taking exams to be a Librarian. Which career will you choose?

    O.W.L.s 2019

This is the second time I am participating in the O.W.L.s readathon, and I am beyond excited for it. I might even be fangirling a bit.πŸ˜‚

This year G has really outdone herself. She has created a FREE pamphlet with wizarding careers in it…GUYS….she blesses us with this. Without G, the wizarding world wouldn’t be the same. I’ll link her YouTube video below so you can check out all the details and get access to the free pamphlet.

    O.W.L.s 2019 Magical Readathon Video

If you like Harry Potter at all you won’t want to miss this readathon! Oh, and the community is awesome! The Magical Readathon has a dedicated Twitter page that you can find here. —> Magical Twitter

If you’re on Instagram you can use #magicalreadathon2019
That’s where I’ll be spending most of my time, basically because I forget to check my Twitter…..

Ok, on to the actual list of books I want to read.

If you watched the video then you know that there are twelve prompts for the O.W.L.s 2019 Readathon. The wizarding career you choose determines how many O.W.L.s you have to complete to pass you exams and be eligible for the N.E.W.T.s in August.

For instance, I chose the Librarian career, because it sounds awesome and way cooler than you think. To pass my O.W.L.s for this career I need to read 5 books. The prompts are very easy. It’s the books that we pick that determine how much effort we will have to put in.

O.W.L.s Prompts for the Librarian Career are:

    • Ancient Runes (A retelling): Cress, by Marissa Meyer
    • Arithmancy (A work written by more than one author): Illuminae, by Jay Kristoff and Aime Kaufman
    • Defense Against the Dark Arts (Reducto: Title starts with “R”): The Raven Boys, by Maggie Stiefvater
    • History of Magic (Published at least 10 years ago): Angel’s Blood, by Nalini Singh
    • Transfiguration (Sprayed edges or red cover): Sepulchre, by Kate Mosse

Of course, like the overachiever I am, I picked books for the other seven O.W.L.s prompts:

As you can see, I over plan everything.

Creating my O.W.L.s 2019 TBR was fun and challenging! I spent several hours working out all the details. But it was so fun. Reading, and basically everything involved with it has really become a super fun hobby of mine. It helps me relax and have a creative outlet so I don’t go bonkers being a stay at home mom.

I hope you’ll join us for the O.W.L.s readathon 2019! It was so much fun last year. This year is going to be even better!

    Happy reading,

    Alicen ✨
