*Welcome to the January 2019 Reading Challenge here @thecozyshelf.

The Cozy Shelf 2019 Reading Challenge + my January TBR

2019 Reading Challenges

I’m participating in a few reading challenges this year:

  • The Modern Mrs. Darcy reading challenge
  • My personal Goodreads challenge
  • The Cozy Shelf reading challenge

This year, my goal for Goodreads is to read 100 books. I read 71 books this year, and I wasn’t really focusing on completing my goal, which was 60 books. So I think with some actual motivation behind it I can get to 100 books pretty easy.

The Modern Mrs. Darcy reading challenge is year long and you can find all the info here. I’m taking this one a month at a time because that’s how it’s set up and because I’m a mood reader. Last year this challenge had specific prompts for each month and I just wasn’t motivated by it. My book pick for January is Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and it fulfills the prompt: “A backlist title by a favorite author”.

The Cozy Shelf challenge is also year long and you can also take it a month at a time. Mainly for the reason that most of us are mood readers and I don’t like telling you what to read. I want to encourage you to pick up a book, not to make it feel like an assignment. You can find all the info and sign up for the free prompt checklist + monthly updates here.

Or you can just sign up right here:

My book pics for The Cozy Shelf challenge are Switch on Your Brain for the prompt: “A book about mental health” and Whichwood for the prompt: “A book you bought for the cover”.
